Congratulations!  You Decided You Need a Website!


You took one of the most important first step in getting your business online.  Your website is your company's digital calling card. It needs to be good looking and provide the information that your customers are looking for. Are you unsure about the content or the audience, your site might not be appealing to the right types of consumers if you don't get it right.  You wouldn't make a carnivore website for vegans, would you?



How Do you Know What the Right Audience Is?


This is a really important question, and it shows you are paying attention! Consider these questions:

  • Who are you wanting as customers?
  • What are your current customers buying?
  • What is appealing to your customers?
  • What is drawing people to your business in the first place, or what do you imagine is drawing them to you?
  • Is there a specific age, gender, income level that might benefit from your services?


These questions will help you identify your audience.  But how do you find these things out?  Research! Research! Research!

Ask your customers questions, send surveys, create a look alike audience on Facebook, conduct a user-group session.  All of these activities will help you find the audience you want to prioritize.

You website is your digital identity. It is one of the most powerful tools you have to convey your brand messaging, find customers, and sell products/services. It is that critical first impression, and it needs to be tight!  This visual presence is what will draw the attention of people within seconds.


Choosing the right platform to create your website is also important.  Platforms like Wix, Squarespace, Weebly are great tools for beginners, or for very simple websites without much flourish. Often times these platform are difficult to learn.
